My unconventional anti-bias training was rated the top session of the 2024 conference.
My opening: "I’m sure you all arrived today expecting a diversity training led by a middle-aged white woman named Karen. While I can’t change my name or my demographic, I can promise a session that isn't about checking boxes. We’re going to look at how the human brain is wired and why real human connection is the only way to actually rewrite our old biases."
Feedback from a senior leader: 'This was the best session of the event. You are a gifted presenter and should definitely seek out more opportunities for live events like this one.'"
